Jumping June is a nationwide school fundraising programme delivered by Impact Fundraising Limited trading as School Boost (‘School Boost’, ‘we’ or ‘us’), in support of the Heart Foundation.

We are committed to protecting personal information and handling it in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

2. What Information We Collect

We collect personal information necessary to deliver the Jumping June programme.

School staff and organisers

We may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • School details

Students (limited information only)

We may collect:

  • First name
  • School details
  • Fundraising page details (such as classroom or team name)

Important:
We do not collect sensitive personal information about students.

Donors and supporters

We may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address (where provided)
  • Donation amount and transaction details
  • Optional supporter messages

Payment information

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. School Boost does not store credit card or payment details.

We may collect personal information when:

  • A school registers interest in, or books, Jumping June
  • A student fundraising page is created
  • A donation is made
  • You visit or interact with our website
  • You contact us directly

4. Why We Collect Information

We collect and use personal information to:

  • Set up and manage the Jumping June programme
  • Process donations made in connection with the Jumping June programme
  • Allocate funds accurately
  • Communicate with schools, families, participants and supporters in connection with the Jumping June programme

School Boost works closely with schools and takes children's privacy seriously.

We:

  • Collect only the minimum information required
  • Rely on participating schools to obtain parent or caregiver consent where required
  • Do not collect sensitive personal information about children
  • Design fundraising pages to minimise unnecessary exposure of personal information
  • Comply with the Privacy Act 2020

Parents or caregivers may request removal of a student's information at any time by contacting us.

6. Sharing Information

We may share personal information as follows:

With participating schools

To ensure accurate fundraising tracking, reporting and allocation of funds.

With the Heart Foundation

We will share information collected in connection with the Jumping June programme with the Heart Foundation. This may include::

  • School name, contact details and fundraising information
  • Participant (student) fundraising information (fundraising platform identification number)
  • Donor and supporter details (name, email address, donation amount and donation date)
  • Fundraising engagement data (such as total funds raised and participation
    metrics)
This information is shared with the Heart Foundation to  support the delivery and improvement of the Jumping June programme and to help the Heart Foundation
understand the impact of fundraising activity.

The Heart Foundation may also use this information for marketing, research and promotional activities related to the Jumping June programme.

Please contact School Boost at any time if you do not consent to your personal information being shared with the Heart Foundation.

Service providers

We use trusted third-party providers to deliver the Jumping June programme,

  • Funraisin (fundraising platform)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Email and communication tools
These providers process personal information on our behalf to enable fundraising and communications for the Jumping June programme.
While we take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle data securely in compliance with the Privacy Act 2020, their use of personal information is also governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not use personal information collected in connection with the Jumping Juneprogramme for any purpose, or disclose any such personal information to any third parties, other than for the purpose of the Jumping June programme as described in this Privacy Policy.

7. How Funds and Data work

School Boost:

  • Collects donations via secure systems
  • Allocates funds to the correct school or fundraising page
  • Deducts agreed service fees
  • Transfers funds directly to the Heart Foundation

We implement reasonable security safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure, including:

  • Controlled access
  • Industry-standard payment security practices
Some personal information may be stored or processed by trusted providers outside New Zealand in compliance with the Privacy Act 2020. Where this occurs, we take
reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards are in place. We ensure that any providers that store or process personal information outside New Zealand do not use any personal information for their own purposes.
